La Sorella Mercato is an elevated casual café and market from Chef Scott Rosenberg, the team behind Il Figlio Enoteca next door. "La Sorella" means sister in Italian — a fitting name for a sibling spot that brings something lighter and more relaxed to Fishkill's dining scene.

Guests can order at the counter and settle in, or grab and go. The menu features coffee drinks, fresh juices, pastries, quiches, pressed paninis, and Italian-inspired salads and lunch plates. The mercato side of things lets you take a bit of La Sorella home — imported pasta, private-label olive oil, La Sorella coffee, candles, and fresh flowers sourced from The Parcel in Cold Spring.

The bright, airy interior was designed by Ford Skoglund (who also designed Il Figlio), with banquette seating, warm lighting, and ficus trees that make it feel like a world away from the strip mall outside. Named "Best New Restaurant" by Hudson Valley Magazine.
