Hey @connecthv2 -- I just wrote and directed an Audio Play. It's free at subscript.fm, ApplePodcasts, and Spotify. It's called Relief Society_ and it's about Mormon podcasters who attempt to help the children of Gaza. It does not go well. I would love your comments.

Hello. I would like to invite you into the conversation on my Substack and podcast—Thie Kaleidoscope Career. Please read/listen, subscribe and comment —or let me know what you think here. The focus is on women finding success in careers that build and twist and turn like the images in a kaleidoscope. Always different. Always brilliant when they land even if they are messy falling into place.

Hey all! Been a member for a bit and just wanted to shoot out a re-introduction as some of my offerings have changed. I have a documentary director + editor with a focus mostly on social good, short form doc work for brands and organizations. I've helped platform stories for Amnesty International, BBC Storyworks, LYCRA and more.

In the past few years I've been slowly pivoting into motion graphics and animation, also for social-good orgs, and love the work. I've had the pleasure of designing and creating several campaigns for Amnesty International USA and look forward to expanding this work to other folks!

Posting a link to recent work here and would love to connect!

Anthropic just announced a new initiative for nonprofits: Claude Corps, “bringing early-career talent and mission-driven organizations together to put AI to work where it matters most.”

> We’ll teach 1,000 fellows how to use Claude well, match them with nonprofits across America, and pay them to spend a year—full-time, in-person—helping host organizations to advance their missions. Our goals are twofold: that host organizations are equipped with valuable tools and systems, and fellows build AI skills that will serve them in their careers.

> Claude Corps is set up as a partnership between three organizations. Anthropic will fund the program, lead its overall strategy, and provide Claude expertise. CodePath, an Anthropic nonprofit partner and America’s largest provider of collegiate computer science education, will act as the fellows’ official employer of record and lead programming during the fellowship. Social Finance, a nonprofit and registered investment advisor, will lead measurement and evaluation, and will build a longer-term financial vehicle to enable the program to scale.
Details here: https://www.anthropic.com/news/claude-corps

Introduction to the Temple of Living Wonder

Greetings Beautiful Souls,

My name is Malyk.

I am the founder and steward of The Temple of Living Wonder — a sanctuary devoted to restoring coherence between body, mind, heart, leadership, stewardship, and purpose.
Through decades of applied and practical studies, service, regenerative living, conscious culinary arts, land stewardship, healing modalities, community building, and embodied practice, I have come to recognize that coherence is one of humanity’s greatest renewable resources.

My work bridges the practical and the sacred. I serve as a conscious chef, regenerative steward, facilitator, advisor, photographer, community builder, and guide for individuals, founders, leaders, visionaries, healers, and change-makers seeking greater alignment within themselves and their contributions to the world.

The Temple of Living Wonder explores six foundational dimensions of coherence:

• Embodied Coherence
• Interstitium Coherence
• Heart Coherence
• Quantum Coherence
• Celestial Coherence
• Legacy Coherence
My intention is simple:

To help cultivate greater harmony between our inner worlds and the living systems we steward around us.

Whether through private containers, retreats, regenerative projects, conscious culinary experiences, land stewardship, educational initiatives, healing practices, or collaborative ecosystem building, I believe meaningful relationships and shared purpose are among our most valuable resources.

If you feel resonance with this work, I would be honored to connect.

:herb: Explore the Temple:

Malyk Magi — The Temple of Living Wonder

I welcome conversations, collaborations, friendships, stewardship opportunities, and co-creative partnerships rooted in integrity, reciprocity, wonder, and service.

May we continue building a more coherent, regenerative, and life-giving future together.

With gratitude,

Malyk Magi

Hi everyone! I’m Kevin, based locally here in Saugerties.

My career started across brand strategy, creative production, and project leadership, but over the past several years I’ve moved much more fully into video editing. I’ve worked on documentary, narrative, branded, and short-form projects, and I’m currently finishing my first feature documentary film about a legendary composer and musician.

Long term, I’m especially interested in collaborating on character-driven narrative films, documentaries, and story-focused brand work.

Looking forward to getting to know people here, learning from the community, and hopefully collaborating down the road. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect!

👋 Hi everyone! My name is Mary Rose. I'm a poet, mystic, and medieval literature nerd based in Beacon. For the past 3.5 years, I've been a marketing manager at W. W. Norton & Company, where I oversee market research, content strategy, and sales enablement for our EdTech platforms and college course materials. Before that, I completed my MFA in creative writing at the University of Notre Dame (no, I never went to even one football game 😆), and before that I worked in a variety of editorial, administrative, sales, and communications roles.

When I'm not reading or writing while sipping a matcha, I love to sing, cook, collage, hike, explore museums and go to the theatre. Last year, my partner <@U0B0FK57Z54> and I adopted a 5-year-old rescue cat named Chirps (also known as Chirpa, Chirpadoodle, Chirpasaurus, Dutchess Chirps), and being her secondary butler has been one of my favorite jobs. 😻

I also write a Substack, Merchantess of Marvels, where I blend travelogues with literary/historical research and reflections on life as a young breast cancer survivor: merchantessofmarvels.substack.com

Looking forward to connecting with cool people on both personal and professional fronts! Please reach out if you'd like to chat.

This month’s meetup of The Product Group Hudson Valley will bring together product managers, founders, designers, and software engineers to talk about how we use AI to code and launch real products, practical automations, and fun gadgets. We’ll take something from idea to prototype to code deployed on a server.

There will be dumplings.

Hey ConnectHV friends! Sharing a bit about my company in case any of you are homeowners and also fed up with how expensive it is (the cost of owning a home is up about 39% since 2019!).

That's exactly why we started Rafter: to make owning a home safer, easier, and more affordable. Our AI platform monitors your home around the clock, catches problems before they turn expensive, manages contractors, and automatically captures real savings on insurance and bills along the way. Our members save an average of $847 and 30+ hours every year, and if we don't save you as much as your membership ($10/month billed annually), we guarantee to refund the difference.

If you're interested in trying it for your home, your first 6 months are free. It's genuinely quick: just enter your address, see what we think we could save you, and create an account from there. Get started here and use code CONNECTHV at checkout.

Thanks!

Good morning, happy Monday! Early start for me this morning — I'm on the train headed to Grand Central for an event at my day job, and buttoning up some last-minute details for the meetup tomorrow.

What's everyone got going on this week? Anything interesting?

Hi everyone. I've made posts on the Hudson Valley subreddit but figured I'd ask around here. I’m looking for others who like to play table top roleplaying games. Specifically games other than Dungeons and Dragons. Feel free to dm! (Edit: currently playing in Poughkeepsie)

Hello buddies, excited to be part of community.😀 I just wanted to run us through a few things about our upcoming workshop. The founders who scale fastest aren’t always the ones working hardest, They’re the ones who stop being the bottleneck. That’s the focus of our upcoming workshop, The AI Advantage: Work Less, Scale More, on September 24. Rather than another AI overview, we’ll walk through practical ways founders and small business owners can use AI to remove operational friction, streamline decision-making, and reclaim time spent on repetitive work.
We’ll also cover a challenge many businesses are starting to face: as AI becomes part of daily operations, how do you ensure outputs are reliable, secure, and aligned with the way your business actually runs?
If you’re leading a growing company and finding that too much still depends on you, this session was built with that reality in mind.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm Jennifer, a part of the team at IMTLY Consulting, where we help founders and business owners overcome operational constraints that limit growth. Our work focuses on improving execution capacity through process optimization, strategic delegation, operational support, and the practical application of AI within business operations.
We're located at the Springvalley NY.
I appreciate the recommendation regarding <#C06SDQ20FJN>. I'll share the workshop there as well.

A few things worth checking in your business before you touch any AI tool:
1. Ask what's already leaving your business.
Before evaluating any AI tool, find out what your team is already using on their own ChatGPT, Grammarly, whatever's free and easy. Most owners are surprised. This isn't about stopping it; it's about knowing where your data is actually going right now.
2. Write down what's okay to hand off, and what isn't before you need to.
The businesses with the fewest headaches aren't avoiding AI. They gave their team a clear, written answer to "what can you use this for" before a mistake forced the conversation. If that conversation hasn't happened yet, it's overdue.
3. Pick one task, not one tool.
Don't start by shopping for software. Start by naming the single task eating the most hours each week, and ask if it's actually a good candidate to hand off. Sequencing beats tool selection almost every time.......... I hope this helps a business.

Ready to join the conversation? Enter the Slack community below.

What is Slack?

Slack is a chat platform, similar to Discord or Microsoft Teams or old-school IRC. It's meant to be used by businesses for team communication, but we're using it as a community platform. We picked Slack by popular request and it's worked out pretty well so far.

What's the difference between the Slack and the directory?

The directory allows you to showcase your work and find local creatives and professionals. The Slack is a chat platform for the community with active conversation happening all the time. They complement each other, and both are useful!

Why should I join?

Over 1,800 local creatives and professionals are in the group, connecting with each other and sharing opportunities. People are finding work, hiring locally, sharing resources, launching new projects, and generally being a community that's authentic and human rather than the opposite.

What's the vibe?

Conversation in the Slack is casual and human. There are lots of people introducing themselves, asking for recommendations, hiring people and sharing that they're ready to be hired, and announcing new events or projects. (And it's totally fine to just lurk, too!)
