Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a harassment-free, supportive experience for everyone, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, body size, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, political views, or professional background.

Basically: all are welcome, always.

Expected Behavior

All community participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, consideration, and professionalism
  • Engage in good-faith conversation and disagreement
  • Be mindful of shared spaces and group dynamics
  • Respect personal boundaries, consent, and privacy
  • Follow all venue or platform rules and applicable laws

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated at ConnectHV events or in our online spaces:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
  • Offensive, derogatory, or sexual language or imagery
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact
  • Sustained disruption of talks, activities, or conversations
  • Photography, video, or recording of individuals without consent where reasonably expected (this is more applicable at in-person events)
  • Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern

Reporting & Enforcement

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:

  • Speak to a ConnectHV organizer or volunteer at the event, or
  • Contact us after the event at [email protected]

All reports will be taken seriously and handled discreetly.

ConnectHV organizers reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate, including warning, removal from the event without refund, or banning from future events.

Photography & Media

Some ConnectHV events are photographed or recorded for promotional or archival purposes. By attending, you acknowledge this possibility. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify an organizer.

Shared Responsibility

Creating a positive community is a collective effort. Thank you for helping make ConnectHV events welcoming, safe, and energizing for everyone.
