Pinkster Fest!

The African American Archive invites you to join us for Columbia County's ONLY Pinkster Fest! Pinkster is the oldest African American holiday in the country, and it reflects our unique Afro Dutch Hudson Valley history and heritage. This jubilant day will include a traditional Pinkster Stroll, ancestor ceremony, music, dancing, drumming, face painting, crafts, history exhibits, vendors, food and more! Featuring book reading and signings by Debra Bruno ("A Hudson Valley Reckoning") and Shakeema Funchess ("Parading with Pride"), and theatrical performance by Carla and Keyes. Free of charge and fun for the whole family.
