Hi Hudson Valley!
I just joined Connect HV. I’m an interior designer in Cold Spring who works closely with homeowners during renovations and new construction, and I’d love to connect with architects and contractors to explore ways we could collaborate to offer our mutual clients a smooth, well-coordinated design + build experience.
When I’m involved early in the process, I help streamline selections, clarify design intent, and anticipate potential challenges before they reach the job site which keeps projects moving efficiently and reduces decision delays. My goal is always to support the build team, protect the timeline, and ensure the finished result reflects both thoughtful design and seamless execution.
If you’re open to it, I’d enjoy setting up a quick call to connect.

I'm James, a photographer, designer, writer, etc who has mostly been working for purpose-driven organizations in a marketing capacity for the past decade and have been trying to shift my focus to more community driven/local work in the Hudson Valley/Catskills - though wouldn't be opposed to working with non-profits.
My photography work spans from tourism, events, interiors, portraits and products - while my design work is primarily social media and web based.
Have been spending a decent amount of time over the past year working on tourism projects, collaborating with a friend on building her furniture brand (couchcouch.life) and am currently working on an architecture website, mental health app (also do that), and potentially a website for a Psychedelic Psychology practice.
Happy to chat if anyone has any need for the sort of thing I do, or even just needs some advice or guidance.
Always happy to meet people trying to do something interesting, helpful, or just fun.

I’m the marketing director for a Portland cocktail brand, Straightaway, and a liqueur brand called Accompani. We love to support non-profits, the arts, and hospitality so if you’re ever in need of cocktails for events, please reach out :)

Working with a few colleagues in start up operations and supply chain (early stage and growth phase) as well as to incubate some brands. Would love to connect with more folks in the area and if anyone ever needs some help on the supply chain, logistics and operations side I'm just a message away!

My team is based in New York City, but I split my time between Manhattan and the Hudson Valley, which has become an increasingly meaningful part of both my life and community involvement. I’m also a Board Member of the New Paltz Pride Coalition, where I help support programming and events that celebrate and uplift our local LGBTQ+ community.
Excited to be connected with fellow entrepreneurs, creatives, and civic-minded folks here in the Hudson Valley — looking forward to learning more about what everyone is working on.
By night, I’m a proud dad :man-boy:, Japanophile :japanesecastle:, Sound Artist :headphones:, Woodworker :wood:, and Global Entry member. :airplane_departure:
I’ve lived in the Village of Red Hook since 2003, having escaped the NJ suburbs (don’t hold it against me). I’ve enjoyed living here and have met so many people over the past 20+ years who have inspired me and influenced my personal and professional growth. Along the way, I’ve made a lot of great friends!
I really resonated with the profiles I read on the ConnectHV website, so I am looking forward to meeting fellow members at some point.
I've lived in Goshen since 2017, and it has dawned on me recently that it is past time to start investing in my community. My main focus is helping small businesses scale up through social/digital/crm presence. Just started working with https://bethanycenterhudsonvalley.org/ to help expand their following and develop new experiences. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
I'm Jeff Binkley. I am the owner of Hudson Valley Natural Landscapes, a Beacon-based environmentally-focused landscape design and installation/construction company that utilizes regionally native plantings and concepts rooted in applied ecology and permaculture to create affordable and ecologically-sound landscape solutions.
I'm a former attorney who, after a decade of practicing law, decided to seek a more inwardly-rewarding path. Outside of the garden, I'm an avid trail runner and hiker and would love to meet up and hit the trails with anyone similarly minded!

We work with people at all stages. I started this business because I saw a real gap in reliable bookkeeping and accounting support after moving full time to this area. My background is in corporate finance, so I prioritize making sure our clients know their numbers to give them the ability to plan on a weekly, monthly and annual basis with clarity.
Our clients include creatives, interior designers, producers, CPAs, professional service firms, and law firms.
I’ll also be at the next ConnectHV networking event this month, so please feel free to say hello if you’ll be there.

I'm Jordan Young, and I live over in Arlington. I work for an international company called SlidesLive where we work in event video production/post-production/video hosting utilizing AI & Robotic cameras. I've always loved it up here, (been up here for 8 years) and if my team or I can assist with any events that need to be recorded or livestreamed, I would welcome it with open arms...
I sadly can't make it to the upcoming 3/16 meet up, but some of you might see me popping into some events, or just generally running around with my kids up here.
Looking forward to collaborating!
This Wednesday, March 11th, HVTech community meets in person at the Marist college. It is going to be interesting, with Vibe Coding (Claude Code), Career development discussion and networking. https://www.meetup.com/hvtech/events/313448351/
I'm a content & ux producer out of Woodstock! I just re-downloaded Slack and thought I'd say Hey.
I recently launched a daily cooking puzzle game called Combo Meal. It's a browser-based recipe-building game (think NYT Connections meets Chopped). I'm demoing it at the Kingston Farmers Market on Saturday at the Little Rye booth. If you're grabbing some groceries, come say hi!
You can also play anytime at the link above — it's a new recipe everyday!:taco:🍰😜
Looking forward to connecting with the community here. I grew up in the Hudson Valley, Kingston and recently returned to the region to put back my roots! I've an extensive career within Hospitality/Foodservice, and adjacent industry spaces such as food tech for one. I've a diverse professional range from operations, culinary, to development (construction/design and brand).
I founded a small consultancy, Mile 91, a few years ago supporting clients with project management and operational/development support having extensive experience in LA, NYC markets in both leadership roles and capital project execution. Love this region and welcome the opportunity to connect with the community here! <mailto:[email protected]|[email protected] >
While we are technically at capacity (308/300 slots claimed!), there are always some no-shows, so get on the waitlist and just show up anyway. If you can't make it, we do these every month(ish) in different towns throughout the valley, so keep an eye out for the next one.
I hope to see you there! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/march-meetup-at-newburgh-brewing-tickets-1984205041693?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true
If you are interested in tech meetups - we have a vibrant HV tech meetup community and separate Slack available - DM to get the info!
https://www.meetup.com/hvtech
The format is a round-table discussion, casual conversation with really talented professionals. At the event, you’d get to:
• Spotlight Your Story: Share your product’s journey with engaged product enthusiasts.
• Get Actionable Insights: Receive real-time feedback from product experts.
• Build Valuable Connections: Strengthen relationships with our vibrant community.
We have openings for April onward. DM or email me if interested!
I've heard from a handful of people that they've received some messages that appear to be spam, and thanks to Slack's admin tools I was able to identify at least one account that was either (a) not a real human, or (b) hiding their identity and possibly phishing. I've since removed that account.
It's very, very important to me that this remains a safe space for anyone to hang out and talk work, life, Hudson Valley stuff, etc. With that in mind, a reminder about Slack DM etiquette:
• Please don't spam a bunch of people with the same DM. DMs are for person-to-person communication. They should be specific, relevant, and
• Don't use DMs to sell stuff or pitch people unless they've indicated that they're interested.
• No harassment of any kind will ever be tolerated in here, ever. That includes "continuing to send someone messages after they've asked you not to." (duh)
If you've received an uncomfortable, bothersome, or spammy message, please let me know and I will take care of it immediately. Keeping our community safe and comfortable is my number one priority here. You deserve a space where you don't have to wonder what crap you're going to read whenever you log in.
✌️ Thank you all for being such a supportive, welcoming community. Please don't hesitate to message me with feedback, thoughts, ideas, or complaints!
My (18 yr old) son just hosted a Bird Conservation at his school yesterday so some of this is top-of-mind for me. Three local environmental groups were there: Cornell Coop Extension Ulster, Columbia Land Conservancy, and Woodstock Land Conservancy. Additionally, the event was in cooperation with Ravensbeard, where my son volunteers.
I mention these groups as potential places for you to start your networking journey. Also, happy to connect you with my son if you both want to brainstorm. He starts SUNY New Paltz in the fall with a focus on Ornithology and Conservation. DM me or email me at <mailto:[email protected]|[email protected]>
I'm looking to hire someone that might be able to help out with shooting some good headshots for me that I can use for the campaign. I’m thinking a mix of indoors and outdoors shots.
If of interest I am running as a Democrat and on the Working Families Party ticket.
If you might be interested please dm examples of your work and rates.
