I’m a former cameraperson turned graphic designer (though I still keep my Local 600 card up to date) who moved up and out of the city when my son was 2, so I feel your family’s desire to stretch out and enjoy the beauty and space in HV! You’ll find things quiet down a bit compared to the city, but the quality of life is amazing, and there are plenty of fellow creatives to be found in the woodwork.

I’ve been in the media and entertainment industry for over 15 years can do anything from writing, scripting, producing , editing and creative directing! I’ve created and produced work for all sorts of clients and networks on various platforms and within all genres. I’m an expert in Avid, but also use Premiere and can successfully drive my way around After Effects and Photoshop though I would not call myself an animator or illustrator. 😉

I would also recommend Adams in Poughkeepsie. They are very supportive of the community and have a huge nursery. Hans in the back is quite helpful but anyone can direct you if they are able to accommodate. Good luck!
