Hey all — I'm searching for local photographers with strong documentary/photojournalistic portfolios. We need photos for an education organization that feels natural, candid, and human — real people in real moments of learning, working, and connecting.
What we're looking for:
• Experience shooting in schools, workshops, or workplace environments
• Comfort with available/natural light
• Editorial eye — capturing authentic moments, not posed shots
• Warm, natural color treatment (not overly processed)
• Ability to deliver high-resolution files suitable for large-format/out-of-home applications
Think: education documentary, day-in-the-life editorial, or nonprofit storytelling work. (see reference)
If you know someone whose portfolio fits this style, I'd love to see their work (Portfolio & Resume). Thanks!
Hudson Valley Connect Community
New Year’s Eve 2026 – Conscious Community Gathering
Dear Hudson Valley Connect Community,
We are reaching out to invite photographers and creative filmmakers within the Hudson Valley Connect network to support and document a conscious, drug- and alcohol-free New Year’s Eve gathering (6:00 PM–12:30 AM) dedicated to connection, resilience, embodiment, and collective renewal.
This event is deeply rooted in community collaboration, and we are first opening the door to creatives who feel aligned to co-create with us.
:herb: Collaborative Opportunities
We are seeking creatives who are inspired to:
• Capture authentic moments of connection, movement, ceremony, and joy
• Document performances, workshops, and ambient community energy
• Create visual storytelling that reflects warmth, presence, and integrity
Collaborative exchanges may include:
• Event credit and community visibility
• Tagging and promotion across post-event platforms
• Access to a rich, embodied environment for portfolio growth
• Potential for future collaborations within the Hudson Valley conscious ecosystem
:briefcase: Paid Creative Support
If collaboration is not the right fit, we are also open to paid engagements, depending on availability, scope, and experience.
Paid roles may include:
• Event photography (partial or full-evening coverage)
• Short-form video content (reels, teasers, social clips)
• Highlight recaps or cinematic storytelling assets
• Promotional materials for future community events
Please feel free to share rate ranges, coverage options, and deliverables so we can align clearly and respectfully.
:paperclip: What to Share
If interested, please send:
• A portfolio or landing page with relevant photography or film work
• Examples of event, movement, or community-based storytelling (if available)
• Whether you’re interested in collaboration, paid gig, or both
• Any creative ideas or questions you’d like to offer
We value creatives who work with care, consent, and attunement in community spaces and who honor the spirit of collective creation.
With gratitude,
Hudson Valley Conscious Community Support Production Team

“I know I should do my estate plan (will or trust) but I haven’t because ____.”
One line is perfect. I’ll not use any identifying information in my presentation. Thank you!!!! 💚:parrot:
Totally unrelatedly, regards from Belgium, and Happy New Year, where I have spent the holidays and New Year's. They know how to party here, with their great beer, pommes frites, gauffres, and of course French influence flooding parties with great champagne and fois gras! Soon to head back to the Mid-Hudson Valley, to recover, and recharge my batteries for 2026
My current company was local to me in Texas, but as you can imagine, shipping costs are climbing. Thanks!

It’s official — Towns Of is now a team of 3. We’re building an events platform for the suburbs and regional hubs, and our Head of Product is @nicolesinsight.uxui.
We’re officially fundraising our pre-seed, and I’d love to connect with folks across the startup ecosystem—especially founders, operators, and anyone in the VC world.
ALSO - If you are a community builder, please reach out! We'll hopefully have an MVP by February!
The goal is to easily provide timely and informative information to our readers to increase their engagement with our nonprofit news organization.
We currently use Mailchimp, and items are pulled from our WordPress site via RSS feeds — but we’re open to changing the platforms and workflow (while maintaining a high level of automation).
The Current_ is an award-winning (truly) nonprofit paper covering Beacon and Philipstown (Cold Spring, Garrison, Nelsonville, etc.). I’m on the board.

• I move into your space (in Beacon or Newburgh)
• You join my current share in the Kube (old high school building)
Message me if interested, and please feel free to share with others.
I am looking for local filmmakers/films to screen both at the Phoenicia Playhouse and WAAM. If you have something you want to screen or know someone who might - please reach out! Either here or by email: <mailto:[email protected]|[email protected]>
I look forward to meeting you!
I'm currently going through some shifts in my personal life that requires me to seek full time employment. In addition to photography, I have a background as a copywriter and I've also done customer service and admin support.
I'm very open to new opportunities in Dutchess county (or remote) but for the right role, I'm open to commuting to other parts of the Hudson Valley. If you know of any openings or are currently hiring, I would love to hear about those roles.
And of course, my books are still open for photo sessions. Thanks everyone.
Does anyone have experience publishing using Notion? I want to use it to create user-facing databases and calendars, but would love to hear anyone’s experience with it before spending a ton of time.
Thanks!!
